Method
  1. Clean, wash and soak the moong dal in enough water for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain and pressure cook along with salt for 1 whistle.
  3. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid and keep aside.
  4. Clean, wash and soak the vatana in enough water for 5-6 hours.
  5. Drain, add water and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  6. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid and keep aside.
  7. Combine all the dry masalas in a bowl and mix well.
  8. Add the chutneys, lemon juice and ginger and mix well.
  9. Add the boiled moong dal and vatana and mix well.
  10. Add the onions and salt and mix well.
  11. Garnish with coriander and radish.
  12. Serve hot with kulcha, paratha or as a snack.
