Ingredients
2 cups paneer (cottage cheese) , cut into cubes
oil for deep-frying
1 onion , roughly chopped
1 of ginger (adrak)
2 tbsp oil
1 whole dry kashmiri red chilli
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander (dhania) powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
3 cups green peas
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper powder
1 1/4 cups chopped tomatoes

For The Garnish
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
Method
  1. Combine the onions and ginger, along with 1/3 cup water and blend in a mixer into a smooth paste. Keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry the paneer pieces till they turn golden brown from all the sides.
  3. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan, add red chillies and saute for a minute.
  5. Add the prepared onion-ginger paste and saute on a slow flame for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, pepper, green peas and tomatoes, mix well and add little water and simmer for 5-8 minutes or till the tomatoes are completely cooked.
  7. Add the fried paneer, mix well and cook for 2-5 minutes on a slow flame.
  8. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
