Mata Aloo recipe - How to make Mata Aloo

1 tbsp oil
1 tsp whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
2 tsp fenugreek (methi) seeds
2 boiled and mashed potatoes
1 cup curds (dahi) mixed with 4 cups water
2 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
chopped coriander (dhania) for garnishing
  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the methi seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the wheat flour and saute till it turns golden brown.
  3. Add the mashed potatoes, and then add the curds and saute for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the red chilli powder and salt, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
