Masala Rice Pulao recipe - How to make Masala Rice Pulao

For The Paste
1 tsp roughly chopped ginger (adrak)
1 tsp roughly chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 tbsp roughly chopped green capsicum

Other Ingredients
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 bayleaf (tejpatta)
1 potato
1 onion
1/2 carrot
1/2 cup green peas
salt to taste
a pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander (dhania) cumin seeds (jeera) powder
chilli powder to taste
2 cups rice (chawal)
  1. Wash the rice and drain it.
  2. Wash all the vegetables and drain it and cut into long thin slices.
  3. Keep 5 cups of water ready.
  4. In a pressure cooker heat the oil, and add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and the pastes of garlic, ginger and green pepper.
  5. Now add bay leaf, and the vegetables, salt and add other masalas then fry it for about 2-3 minutes and keep on stirring.
  6. Now add rice and mix it well and then add water and remove 3 whistle.
  7. Serve hot.
