Masala Chapati recipe - How to make Masala Chapati

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 10 to 15 chapatis

2 carrots , chopped
200 gms green peas
300 gms potatoes
salt to taste
1 tsp chilli powder
1 1/2 tsp garam masala

To Be Kneaded Into A Dough
400 gms whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
salt to taste
3 tbsp oil
water as needed
  1. Pressure cook the vegetables to 3 whistles and mash them without adding water.
  2. Add all the masalas and mix well and saute for a few minutes.
  3. Cool and add the coriander and mix well.
  4. Roll out small portions of the dough into small round rotis.
  5. Place a portion of the filling and seal the edges.
  6. Roll again to make a roti of 5" diameter.
  7. Heat a tava and cook each roti using little oil till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
  8. Serve hot.
