A semi-spicy paste of coconut, green chillies and other ingredients perks up with the all-time favourite combination of cauliflower and green peas, giving it a rather masaledar identity!
Common spice powders, onions and coriander also do their bit in enhancing this dry subzi. Serve the Masala Cauliflower and Green Peas Subzi with Parathas or Soya Puris .
You may also pack it to take along to work, school or on a journey as it stays nice and tasty even after a few hours.
- Combine all the ingredients in a mixer and blend to a smooth paste using little water. Keep aside.
- Combine the paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, coriander, chilli powder, onions, salt and 2 tbsp oil in a plate and mix the masala well.
- Add the green peas and cauliflower to it, mix well and keep aside.
- Heat the remaining 2 tbsp oil in a deep non-stick kadhai, add the cauliflower-green pea masala mixture and 1 cup of water and mix well. Cover it with a lid and cook on a slow flame for 8 to 10 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot.
