A delicious subzi recipe made with boiled potatoes cooke in a mixture of hot and spicy condiments and spices. Serve with rotis or puris.

Masala Aloo recipe - How to make Masala Aloo

500 gms baby potatoes , boiled
2 onions , chopped
salt to taste
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
oil for frying
chopped coriander (dhania) for garnishing
  1. Peel and prick the potatoes using a fork and keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a kadhai, add the onions and saute till they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the salt, chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder and cumin seeds powder, mix well and saute for 5 minutes.
  4. Add 2 tsp water, mix well and saute for 1 minute.
  5. Add the potatoes and cook till the potatoes are coated from all the sides.
  6. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
