Masaal Vadai recipe - How to make Masaal Vadai

1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped mint leaves (phudina) leaves
1/2 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp chilli powder
oil for deep frying

To Be Blended Into A Smooth Paste
1 to 2 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
1 to 2 curry leaves (kadi patta)
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into small round balls and flatten them using your palms.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry till they turn golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  4. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  5. Serve hot.
