A rice dish with a sour tinge, mango pulao is prepared with raw mangoes or kairi.A south Indian speciality, mango pulao is delicious owing to a nice mix of ingredients like dals, coconut, sesame seeds and methi daana.

- 1. boil rice, salt and turmeric pwd until cooked.
- 2. combine cumin seeds , 3 red chilles, coconut and grind.
- 3. mix with mangoes and add to cooked rice with half ghee, set aside.
- 4. heat the remaining ghee, saute cloves, cinnamon, tejpatta, curry leaves and other 3 red chillis.
- 5. combine with rice mixture. garnish with coriander, curry leaves and red chilles.
