Malai Kebabs recipe - How to make Malai Kebabs

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

8 paneer (cottagte cheese) cubes
8 pineapple slices
4 red capsicum cubes
4 capsicum cubes
8 mushrooms (khumbh)
1 tbsp oil

For The Malai Sauce
1/2 cup cream
2 cubes of cheese , grated
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1/2 tsp capsico sauce
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp mustard (rai/ sarson) sauce
  1. Take 4 skewers and thread, 2 paneer cubes, 2 pineapple slices, 1 red and 1 green capsicum squares and 2 button mushrooms, one after the other decoratively.
  2. Mix all the ingredients for the malai sauce and pour over the skewered vegetables, Keep aside for 5 mins.
  3. Roast in a tandoor or rotate under a hot grill basting with the oil and sauce frequently for 5-7 minutes or till the side look a little charred.
  4. Serve at once with a salad.
