Maharashtrian fatka is a tangy curd based preparation which has been spicened up with green chillies, garlic and hing. Sprinkle with a handful of chopped coriander leaves and you have a delicious fatka which is typically enjoyed with hot steamed rice.

Ingredients

5 green chillies
15 cloves of garlic (lehsun)
1 small bunch of coriander (dhania)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
oil for tempering
salt to taste
3/4 cup curds (dahi)
Method


  1. Fry chillies, coriender, garlik in little oil.
  2. After cooling thick grind in paste form.
  3. Mix with curd.
  4. Add salt. prepare a tempering with oil, musterd seeds and hing.
  5. After cooling add it to the mixture.
  6. Now the fatka is ready to serve with rotis and jwar roti.enjoy.
