1 cup fine semolina (rava)
1 cup plain flour (maida)
2 onions , chopped
4 green chillies , chopped
2 tsp ghee
salt to taste
oil for deep-frying
  1. Heat the ghee in a kadhai, add the semolina and maid and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the onions and green chillies and saute for 4 minutes.
  3. Combine all the ingredients along with little water and knead into a soft dough.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into small round flat vadas.
  5. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the vadas till they turn golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  6. Drain on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
