A mild yet flavourful soup made with brown stock, ketchup and macaroni, the macaroni soup is a favourite with kids. They love the very sight of macaroni floating on a tempting soup. Add to the temptation by sprinkling a little grated cheese on top and serving piping hot with garlic bread.
- Heat the butter in a deep non-stick pan and sauté the plain flour for few seconds.
- Add the basic brown stock, mix well till no lumps remain and bring to a boil.
- Add the tomato ketchup, macaroni, salt and pepper powder, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Serve hot.
