Ingredients

To Be Whisked Together Into A Creamy Mixture
1 cup margarine or unsalted butter
1/4 cup sugar

Other Ingredients
1 cup plain flour (maida)
1 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp lemon rind
1/2 cup lemon juice
Method
    Method
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°c and lightly grease a shallow baking dish. Keep aside.
  2. Add the flour gradually to butter-sugar mixture and mix well.
  3. Press the cookie dough firmly into the greased baking pan and bake for 35 minutes.
  4. In another small bowl, combine 1 cup of powdered sugar, lemon zest and lemon juice and mix well until smooth. Keep aside for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour this glaze over the baked cookie dough.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tbsp of powdered sugar on top.
  7. Allow glaze to firm up in the refrigerator, then cut into squares or bars.
  8. Serve immediately or store in an air-tight container.
