Experience a burst of fresh flavours as you savour this refreshing tea. While the flavour of lemongrass itself is very refreshing, it is heightened further by adding slices of lemon to the tea.
Remember to cool the tea completely before adding the ice-cubes and lemon slices, in order to get the right chillness and to prevent the lemon from getting bitter.
The Lemon Grass Ice Tea, with its rejuvenating flavour, is the perfect drink to enjoy on a hot summer’s day.
You can also refresh yourself with other nice coolers like the Fruity Iced Tea and Apple Tea .
- Combine 2 cups of water, sugar, lemon grass and tea powder in a deep non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 6 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Strain it using a strainer in a deep bowl. Cool completely.
- Just before serving, add 4 ice cubes and 2 lemon slices in 2 individual glasses and pour half of the lemon grass tea mixture into each glass, stir it and serve immediately.
