Lazeez Kulcha recipe - How to make Lazeez Kulcha

For The Dough
250 gms plain flour (maida)
1/4 tsp yeast
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp oil
1 tbsp curds (dahi)

To Be Mixed Together For The Filling
1/4 cup chopped mint leaves (phudina)
3/4 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp chilli powder
1 big onion , chopped
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
For the dough

    For the dough
  1. Dissolve yeast in 2 - 3 tbsp of warm water and keep aside.
  2. Combine the maida, sugar and salt and sieve the mixture.
  3. Add the curds and baking powder, oil and dissolved yeast, mix well and knead into a soft dough, using warm milk.
  4. Cover and keep aside for few hours.
  5. Knead again and divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
  6. Place a portion of the filling mixture and press gently using a rolling pin and roll into a thick circle of 5" diameter.
  7. Heat a tava and cook each kulcha till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
  8. Serve hot with ghee.
