This one can use as a starter or as a subji with roti, naan or paratha.
- Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl mix well and keep aside to marinate for 20-25 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the bayleaf, asafoetida and onions and saute till pink.
- Add the chilli powder and add the prepared paste and saute till the oil separates.
- Add the marinated potatoes and salt, mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot.
