Koshambir is a traditional salad recipe with grated cucumber, carrots, tomatoes, onion and cabbage as ingredients. A dash of lime juice, salt and pepper add to the zing of this healthy crunchy koshambi recipe.

Koshimbir recipe - How to make Koshimbir

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

2 carrot , finely chopped
2 cucumber , finely chopped
2 tsp finely chopped cabbage
2 onions , chopped
2 tomatoes , chopped
2 green chillies , chopped
1/4 mustard (rai / sarson) powder
2 tsp coriander (dhania) leaves
2 tsp chopped mint leaves (phudina)
1/4 tsp black salt (sanchal)
2 cups curds (dahi)
salt to taste
  1. Combine all the vegetables in a bowl along with little salt and mix well. Keep aside.
  2. Add the curds and mix well.
  3. Add the green chilli and mustard powder, black salt and mix well.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve chilled.
