  1. Boil the channa until soft in a pressure cooker by adding a pinch of baking soda.
  2. Boil, peel and chop the potatoes into small cubes.
  3. Deep fry the papad in hot oil. allow to cool and crush roughly to form pieces.
  4. Combine all the ingredients (also the channa, poatoes and papad) and toss well in a mixing bowl. serve immediately.
