2 ltrs milk
a drop of lemon juice or a pinch of citric acid (nimbu ka phool)
2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
1/4 cup sugar
  1. In a deep pan, boil the milk on a slow flame, while stirring continuously.
  2. After 15 minutes, slowly add the citric acid dissolved in hot water, while stirring continuously.
  3. Simmer till the mixture thickens and becomes like a paste.
  4. Add the sugar and mix well and simmer till the sugar dissolves.
  5. Remove from the flame and transfer the contents evenly on a greased vessel.
  6. When cool, cut into desired shapes.
  7. Serve chilled.
