Kairi Kadhi recipe - How to make Kairi Kadhi

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 2 servings

Ingredients
1 cup raw mango pulp
4 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)
4 cups water
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
2 tsp oil
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
3/4 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
8-10 curry leaves (kadi patta)
2 green chilies , finely chopped
1 tsp jaggery (gur) or sugar
Method
    Method
  1. Combine the mango pulp, besan, turmeric powder and salt in a deep bowl and mix well.
  2. Blend in a mixer to make a smooth mixture by adding 4 cups of water and mix well.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan, add the asafoetida, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies and sauté on a medium flame for a minute.
  4. Add the kairi -gram flour mixture and mix well again.
  5. Add the jaggery or sugar, mix well and bring to a boil.

Isn't this a Gujarati Kadhi called Fajeto? The recipe is good with a sweet and tangy flavours combined! We can add sev or pakodis also to it?
