Kaddu ki Mithai recipe - How to make Kaddu ki Mithai

500 gms red pumpkin (bhopla / kaddu) , peeled and cut into pieces
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp powdered cardamon
1 tbsp chopped mixed nuts
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ghee
  1. Heat the ghee and oil together in a non-stick pan, add the pumpkin and cook covered on slow flame for 10 -15 minutes.
  2. When the pumpkin is cooked, mash it with spatula and cook on high flame stirring continuously till all kaddu is mashed properly and water is dried.
  3. Add the sugar and cardamom powder, mix well and cook on medium flame stirring continuously till the mixture becomes sticky and leaves sides.
  4. Add the nuts and mix well.
  5. Grease a tray and transfer the mixture into the tray and let it cool.
  6. Keep in the fridge for some time
  7. Grease a knife and cut mithai into pieces and serve.
