Kadai Mushrooms recipe - How to make Kadai Mushrooms

For The Gravy
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp garlic (lehsun) paste
1 tbsp ginger (adrak) paste
1 onion , chopped
2 whole dry kashmiri red chillies
1 tbsp coriander (dhania) powder
salt to taste
2 green chillies , chopped
1 cup tomato puree
1 tsp kasoori methi
garam masala powder to taste

Other Ingredients
2 tsp oil
1 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
200 gms mushrooms (khumbh) , quartered and boiled
salt to taste
2 capsicum , cut lengthwise
1 red capsicum , julienned
a pinch of garam masala
For the gravy

    For the gravy
  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the garlic paste, ginger paste and onions and saute till the onions turn brown in colour.
  2. Add the red chillies, coriander powder and salt and mix well.
  3. Add the green chillies and tomato puree, mix well and cook on a slow flame, while stirring continously, till the oil gets separated. Keep aside.

How to proceed

  1. Heat the oil in another kadhai, add the ginger paste and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the mushrooms, capsicums, salt and garam masala, mix well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Keep aside.
  3. Place the cooked mushrooms on a serving plate, pour the gravy on top and sprinkle kasoori methi and garam masala.
  4. Serve hot.
