Ingredients
5 tbsp butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups plain flour (maida)
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal)
strawberry jam

Topping:
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar.
  3. Add egg, milk, and mix well.
  4. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
  5. Grease 6 muffin tins.
  6. Fill each muffin tin half full.
  7. Make a hole in the center with flour on your finger so it won''''''''t stick.
  8. Drop 1 teaspoon of jam in the center.
  9. Top with remaining batter evenly.
  10. Bake at 350degrees for 22-26 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let cool in pan for about 5 minutes.
  12. Cool on wire rack.
  13. Roll tops in melted butter, then in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
