A delightful jeera and rice blend in jeera rice goes exceptionally well with a range of Indian vegetable and meat dishes. An easy and yet healthful chawal recipe, jeera rice is one of our favorites.
- Heat ghee in a pan, add cashew nuts and fry till light brown. remove and keep aside
- Now add cumin seeds and spices to the ghee. fry for 1/2 minute and then add the onion paste and ginger-garlic paste and fry for another 2 minutes.
- Add rice, salt and 3 cups of water. cook till rice is done.
- Garnish with roasted cashew nuts and serve hot.
