Instant Mango Chutney recipe - How to make Instant Mango Chutney



Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 1 cup

1 raw mango , peeled and chopped
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 tsp bengal gram
1 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 to 3 curry leaves (kadi patta)
1/2 tsp fenugreek (methi) leaves powder
4 tsp oil
salt to taste
  1. Combine the mangoes with salt, chilli powder, fenugreek powder and garlic and blend in a mixer to a coarse paste.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan add the bengal gram,urad dal,mustard seeds,cumin seeds and curry leaves.
  3. Add the grinded chutney to the hot tempering and mix well.
  4. Serve immediately or store refrigerated.
