Instant Kheer recipe - How to make Instant Kheer

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

500 ml milk
1 cup washed and drained beaten rice (poha)
1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
10-15 cashew nuts and raisins (kismis)
1 cup condensed milk

For Garnishing
few saffron (kesar) strands strands
  1. Heat the milk in a deep non-stick pan.
  2. When milk starts boiling, add the poha, mix well and boil for 7-8 minutes.
  3. Add the cardamom powder, cashewnuts, raisins and condensed milk and mix well.
  4. Boil for 2 minutes.
  5. Transfer to serving bowl.
  6. Serve hot garnished with saffron strands.
