1 cup besan (Bengal gram flour)
1 tsp semolina (rava)
salt to taste
1 pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup water
1 tsp fruit salt

Ingredients for seasoning
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
4 green chillies , slited
few curry leaves (kadi patta)
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania) leaves

  1. Mix all the ingredients except water and eno , now add water slowly and keep stirring , after adding whole water add eno powder and pour the batter in a greased tray .
  2. It can be cooked in a microwave or can be steamed for 7to 8 minutes or till it is cooked and leaves sides of the dish.
  3. keep it aside and let it cool then cut into pieces
  4. In a pan pour oil when it is hot , put rai , green chilies and curry leaves , now add water and sugar , allow it to boil , add lemon juice and pour the liquid on prepared dhokla after some time when no water is left in the dish, dress the dhokla with chopped coriander leaves and serve with green chutney.
