A popular and all time favorite vegetable recipe, the authentic hyderabadi mirchi salan is presented in a simple and easy to prepare steps. The mirchi or green chillies are stuffed, deep fried and then cooked with onion, spice powders and sesame seeds.

  1. Heat the oil in a kadhai, add the green chillies and saute till they turn white in colour.
  2. Remove and keep aside.
  3. In the same oil, add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, onion seeds and curry leaves.
  4. When the seeds crackle, add the paste and saute for a 2 minutes.
  5. Add the turmeric and coriander-cumin seeds powder and the remaining ingredients and mix well and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
