- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and add the cumin seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the prepared paste and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the sprouted vaal, sugar, salt and 1¼ cups of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes or till the vaal is cooked, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot with rice or rotis.
