  1. Combine the fenugreek, spinach, tomato, ginger and green chillies in a pressure cooker, add little water and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
  2. Open and crush into a smooth paste with a hand blender or in the mixer. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a a pan and add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  4. Add the ground spinach puree, mix well and cover and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add all the spices and boiled chick peas and 1 cup water, mix well and cover and cook for 5 -7 minutes.
  6. Add the lemon juice according to taste and mix well.
  7. Serve hot.
