A tongue tickling Hara chana chaat with boiled hara chana tossed with lime juice, chopped onion, green chillies and tomatoes. A spicy chaat recipe which can also be enjoyed with beaten curd as topping or simply as a salad.

2 cups boiled hara chana (dried green peas)
1 cup finely chopped onions
3 to 4 green chillies, finely chopped
1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1 tsp chaat masala
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tbsp butter
salt to taste

For the garnish
8 to 10 baked papadis, crushed
2 tbsp sev

How to proceed

    How to proceed
  1. Heat the butter in a pan, add the onions and sauté till the onions turn translucent.
  2. Add the green chillies, green chana, tomatoes, chaat masala and salt and sauté for a further 2 minutes.
  3. Add the lemon juice, coriander and mix well.
  4. Serve hot garnished with the crushed papadis and sev.
