Dried Cluster Beans (dried Guar) 100 gms
Yogurt 3 tbsps
Dried Mango Pieces 2-3
Red Chillies Whole 5-6
Mustard Oil 3 tbsps 1 bayleaf (tejpatta)
Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp 1 pinch of asafoetida (hing)
Mustard Powder 1/2 tsp salt to taste
Masala 1 tsp chilli powder1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
Garam Masala Powder 1 tbsp
Dried Mango Powder (amchur) 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder 1 tsp
Sugar 1/2 tsp
- 1.soak dried cluster beans in four cups of water for one hour. drain.
- 2.gently whisk yogurt in a bowl. soak dried mango pieces in a cup of water for an hour, drain and keep aside. remove steams and break whole red chillies into two.
- 3.heat mustard oil in a pan. add bay leaf, cumin seeds, broken red chillies, asafoetida, mustard powder and stir. add soaked beans and salt. mix well and add yogurt.
- 4.mix all the powdered masalas in a bowl and add a little water. add to the vegetable and mix. add soaked dried mango pieces and cook till it is dry.
- 5.serve hot.
