A sauce that combines spices like pepper with garlic can be nothing but exciting! In this yummy preparation, succulent cottage cheese is grilled with a sprinkling of salt and herbs, and then drowned in a tongue-tickling pepper-garlic sauce.
The crisp and soft texture of the paneer together with the peppy flavour of the sauce makes the Grilled Paneer with Spicy Pepper Garlic Sauce an amazing preparation, which can be served as a starter or used as part of sizzlers .
The sauce tends to thicken over time, so do not make it too much in advance—if you do, make sure you adjust the consistency with a little water before pouring it over the paneer. The paneer too needs to be grilled just in time, because it can get chewy after a while.
Also have a go at other paneer recipes like the Paneer Parcels or Paneer Potato Rosti .
For the grilled paneer- Heat 2 tsp of olive oil in a griller pan, sprinkle ½ tsp of dried oregano and little salt evenly all over. Place the paneer slices and cook on a high flame for 2 to 3 minutes or till they turn golden brown in colour from one side. Turnover and cook again on a high flame for 1 minute.

- Repeat step 1 to grill 1 more batch. Keep aside.
For the spicy pepper garlic sauce- Combine all the ingredients in a broad non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside.

How to proceed- Reheat the spicy pepper garlic sauce, place the grilled paneer slices on a serving plate, pour the prepared spicy garlic sauce evenly over it. Serve immediately.
