Gehun Moong Nu Shaak recipe - How to make Gehun Moong Nu Shaak

2 cups whole moong (whole green gram)
2 cups wheat (gehun)
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
2 tsp red chilli powder
2 tsp coriander (dhania) seeds powder
2 tsp lemon juice
  1. Soak wheat for 5 to 6 hours and pressure cook for 5 to 6 whistles.
  2. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  3. Pressure cook the moong for 1 whistle and keep aside.
  4. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add the wheat and moong and other ingredients and saute for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
  6. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
