Gajar ki Kheer recipe - How to make Gajar ki Kheer

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving

4 cups grated carrot
1 ltr milk
2 cups sugar
1 tbsp rice (chawal)
2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
1 cup fresh cream
chopped mixed nuts for garnishing
  1. Heat milk over a medium flame in separate kadhai and add cardamom.
  2. In pressure cooker put grated carrots and rice and half cup of water and pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  3. After 10 min open pressure cooker and blend carrot and rice nicely with spoon.
  4. When the milk slightly thicken add carrot mixture and malai into milk.
  5. When the mixture slightly thicken add sugar and raisins and after 10 min turn the flame off.
  6. Put this kheer into serving dish and garnish with dry fruits.
