1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper (kalimirch) powder
1 tsp dried oregano
4 large onions
oil for frying
salt to taste

  1. 1.cut onions into very thin slices and separate into rings.
  2. 2.soak onions in ice water for one hour.
  3. 3.set aside.
  4. 4.combine rest of the ingredient in a large bowl.
  5. 5.heat oil. remove onions from ice
  6. water and dry thoroughly with paper towels.
  7. 6.coat the onion rings with the prepared batter,
  8. then fry until brown.
  9. 7.drain on paper towels. season with salt and serve.
