A delicious crunchy hot snack to be enjoyed with tea or coffee. A simple way to use left over idlis.

Fried Idlis recipe - How to make Fried Idlis

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

10 idlis
salt to taste
2 tsp chilli powder
oil for frying
chopped coriander (dhania) for garnish
fried red chilli
  1. Cut the idli lengthwise and add the salt and chilli powder, mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the idlis till they turn golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  3. Drain on an absorbent paper and sprinkle little salt and chilli powder and toss well.
  4. Serve hot garnished with red chillies and coriander.
