Faraali Snow Kheer recipe - How to make Faraali Snow Kheer

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

1 cup grated potatoes
1/2 cup mashed paneer (cottage cheese)
1 tbsp roasted and powdered cashewnuts (kaju)
4 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp poppy seeds (khus-khus) , soaked and grounded into paste
2 tsp ghee

For The Garnish
roasted chopped almonds (badam)
pistachio slivers
chopped dates (khajur)
  1. Heat the ghee in a pan, add the potatoes and saute for 5 ,minutes.
  2. ADd the milk, mix well and bring to boil till the milk is reduced to half.
  3. Add the paneer, sugar, cashew powder, khuskhus, mix well and boil for another 10 minutes or till it becomes thick.
  4. Garnish with almond, pista and dates.
  5. Serve hot or chilled.
