Faraali Healthy Soup recipe - How to make Faraali Healthy Soup

1 1/2 cups grated yam (suran)
1 cup potatoes , grated
salt to taste
1/2 cup grated sweet potato (shakarkand)
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper powder
1 tsp roasted and powdered cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp roasted sesame seeds (til)
1 tbsp roasted and powdered peanuts
1 tsp oil
2 tsp waterchestnut (shingoda) flour
3 tsp lemon juice

For The Garnish
grated paneer (cottage cheese)
chopped coriander (dhania)
chopped mint leaves (phudina) leaves
  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the waterchestnut flour and saute till pink.
  2. Add 3 glasses water, when it is boiled, add yam, potato, sweet potato, salt, pepper powder, cumin powder, sesame seeds, peanuts powder, mix well and boil it for 7 to 8 minutes or till all vegetables are cooked.
  3. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
  4. Garnish with paneer,coriander and mint.
  5. Serve hot.
