Ingredients

350 gms plain flour (maida)
200 gms butter
200 gms sugar
350 gms chopped dates (khajur) and chopped mixed nuts
300 ml apple puree
2 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 to 3 tbsp milk to mix
1 tbsp chopped dates (khajur) , 2 tsp sugar , 1/2 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder

Method

Put flour into a bowl & rub in butter till it reaches the consistency of breadcrumbs.
Add sugar, dates, nuts & cinnamon.
Make a well in the centre & add apple puree.
Dissolve soda in milk & add to the mixture, mix well.
Pour into a prepared cake tin .
Mix the topping ingredients & sprinkle over the surface.
Bake at 375 degrees f till done (takes more than 1 hour)
