  1. Parboil the drumsticks and keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
  3. When the seeds crackle, add the curry leaves and broken red chilles and saute for 10 seconds.
  4. Add the onions and turmeric powder and saute till the onions turn translucent.
  5. Add the milk gradually and mix well.
  6. Add the drumsticks, mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Add the red chilli powder and salt and mix well while stirring continuously.
  8. Simmer till the milk starts curdling.
  9. Serve hot with steamed rice.
