Dhal urundai is a South Indian urundai(dumpling) recipe prepared from green gram dhal cooked in a spicy tamarind bases curry. Dhal urubdai is best served with rice and green vegetables as a perfect meal.

Green Gram Dhal – 2 cups
Sugar – 2 cups
Ghee - ½ cup
Cardamon – 8
Cashew Nuts – 10

  1. Fry the green gram dhal in a dry kadai till it turns light brown. powder in a mixie. powder sugar also. sieve both the dhal and sugar powder. measure dhal powder and add equal amount of sugar powder. powder cardamom and add to the dhal powder. in a kadai, put one teaspoon ghee and fry the cashew nuts. add to the flour. mix thoroughly. same kadai, p
