Day to Day Curry is a simple and tasty recipe to prepare the traditional Indian curry by stir frying vegetable or paneer and then simmering them in a delicious curry made from dhana- jeera, hadi and hing paste.

for curry:-
3 tbsp oil
1 pinch of asafoetida (hing) , mixed in 1/4tspn water
1 tbsp jaggery (gur)
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi) mixed in 1teaspoon water
2 tsp chilli powder mixed in 2 teaspoons of water
1 tbsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder mixed 1 tablespoon of water
1/2 cup grated tomatoes
1 cup water

for vegetables:-
2 cups chopped mixed vegetables , except ladies finger
salt to taste
coriander (dhania) leaves for garnishing

  1. In a flat pan on medium fire
  2. Heat oil add hing paste as oil start spluttering add jaggery
  3. As jaggery start melting
  4. Quickly add haldipaste stir for a min
  5. Add chillypaste stir for a min
  6. Add dhaniajeerapaste
  7. Cook masalas untill oil release
  8. Add grated tomatoes
  9. Cook tomatoes untill oil release
  10. Gravy is ready.
  11. Add vegetables stir thoroughly that vegetables is fully coated
  12. Lower the heat
  13. Place vegetables on all sides of pan, making a groove in middle
  14. Pour water in middle of pan without disturbing vegetables
  15. Let water start boiling
  16. Then mix vegetables from all sided
  17. Add salt per taste
  18. Cook till oil comes to top
  19. (it can pressercook up to a whistle also
  20. For that reduse water to 1/2cup)
  21. Garnish with fresh corriender.
