A simple and yet so healthy and tasty dal soup recipe made from a mix of lentils and seasonings. This thin dal soup is soothing and a preferred appetizer among all.

Dal Soup recipe - How to make Dal Soup

  1. Combine the dal with all the ingredients, except the oil and cumin seeds, mix well and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles, or till the dal is cooked.
  2. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid and cool.
  3. Blend using a hand blender till smooth. Keep aside.
  4. Heat the oil in a small pan and add the cumin seeds.
  5. When the seeds crackle, our this tempering over the dal and mix well.
  6. Bring the soup to boil.
  7. Serve hot.
