Dal Bahaar recipe - How to make Dal Bahaar

  1. Combine the dals and soak in enough water for 4 to 5 hours.
  2. Drain, wash, add enough water and pressure cook for 5-7 whistles or till cooked.
  3. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid and keep aside.
  4. Heat the butter in a pan, add the onions and saute till they turn translucent.
  5. Add the green chillies, ginger and saute for more 1 minute.
  6. Add the red chilli powder and tomatoes and cook till they turn soft.
  7. Add the dals and bring the dal to boil.
  8. Serve hot garnished with cream.
