50 gms toovar (arhar) dal
1 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
1 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste
50 gms tomato puree
7 to 8 curry leaves (kadi patta)
3 glasses of water
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp butter

1/2 cup boiled Rice
lemon juice

  1. Boil dal well.
  2. Melt butter, add curry leaves, tomato puree, ginger garlic paste.
  3. Fry for a while .
  4. Add salt, turmeric powder and dal.
  5. Add more water if required. boil well .
  6. Garnish with boiled rice and lemon rings.
  7. Serve hot.
