This recipe for Bread Pakora that I guess is slightly different from the usual way in which it is done. This is how we have always done this at home and they are a perfect accompaniment for tea. Also, they can be curried in a simple spiced gravy with fried onion paste and tomato puree or even made into 'Dahi Pakoras'.

Ingredients
10 bread slices
1 cup mashed potatoes
1 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1/2 cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 tsp chopped green chillies
1/2 tbsp grated ginger (adrak)
salt to taste
oil for deep frying water as required
Method
    Method
  1. Remove the crusts of the bread slices.
  2. Take some water in a wide bowl and soak the slices one at a time in it for a few seconds.
  3. Remove the slice from water and squeeze out most of the water. Repeat with all the slices.
  4. Crumble the squeezed out slices and mix very well with the rest of the ingredients.
  5. Heat up some oil in a wok.
  6. When the oil is hot enough, take a bit of the dough at a time and drop into it.
  7. Deep fry in batches.
  8. Serve hot with tea.
