Do not stir the semiyan too much, as they become sticky.
wash well in running water to separate them.

1 cup vermicelli (seviyan)
1/2 cup corn (makai ke dane)
1 tbsp milk
1 medium sized tomato , chopped
1 to 2 green chillies , finely chopped
1/2 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
2 tbsp ghee or oil
salt to taste

  1. Fry the semiyan in 1 tbsp ghee or oil, till light brown on medium flame.
  2. Add about a cup of water to cook the semiyan, until done.
  3. Then strain the semiyan and wash it under running water.
  4. In a pan, add 1 tbsp ghee or oil.
  5. Add the chopped chillies, tomato and corn.
  6. Add turmeric.
  7. Add 1 tbsp of milk.
  8. Let it cook for 2-3 mins
  9. Add salt to taste.
  10. Cover and cook for about 3-5 mins, or till the corn is done.
  11. Then add the vermicilli, mix well and let it be on low flame for 2 mins.
  12. Serve hot.
