Corn cones are as appealing in looks as in taste. The maida based corn cups are filled with corn filling made from tinned corn and a creamy herbed dressing.

1 ltr oil for deep frying
2 cups (400 grams) plain flour (maida)
4 tbsp (60 ml) hot ghee
salt to taste
200 gms corn (makai ke dane)
1 tin (200 grams) cream style corn
2 finely chopped onions
1/2 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
1/4 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste
2 green chillies, finely chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
3 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp garam masala
4 tbsp butter

  1. Mix all the cone ingredients and bind to a soft dough.
  2. Divide it into six portions. roll each portion into a thin roti.
  3. Cut each into half.
  4. Wrap the half roti around a metal cone, covering three fourth of the cone.
  5. Repeat with the rest of the dough.
  6. Fry the cones in hot oil for three minutes.
  7. Remove from oil and rently remove the dough cone from the ,metal cone.

  1. Heat three tablespoon butter in a pan.
  2. And the corn and creamed corn to the butter and stir for four minutes.
  3. Add ½ cup water and cook the corn for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat the remaining butter in another pan and fry the onions well.
  5. Add the giner paste, garlic paste, green chillies and coriander leaves and stir well.
  6. Add the corn mixture and salt to taste
